The Logs / Teak Hardwood Logs: Pyinkado Logs (Xylia dolabriformis Benth.)
Export Quality has a girth 5 ft & up, length 18 ft & up. It is hard with very strong durability. High strength properties. It has Medium Motion. Shrinkage from Green to oven dry is 3.3% radially and 6.7% tangentially. It can stand the attacks of termites and insects: Resistant to Marine Borers. The Hard-wood is extremely resistant to preservative treatment and sapwood is moderately resistant. Pyinkado is generally use in flooring, furniture and bungalo buildings. |
